Senior Account Director<\/h3>\n

Gabrielle Torello, a Senior Account Director of Grand Communications, specializes in children\u2019s television, documentaries, DVD and event public relations. In addition, she helps develop and execute publicity campaigns for the agency\u2019s education and nonprofit clients. A key member of the Grand Communications team since 2004, Torello has collaborated on the launch of top-rated PBS KIDS series for preschoolers, including\u00a0Daniel Tiger\u2019s Neighborhood<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Super WHY<\/i>, as well as PBS KIDS GO!\u2019s\u00a0SciGirls<\/i>,\u00a0Wild Kratts<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0George of the Jungle<\/i>\u00a0for the school-age set; garnered visibility for Anchor Bay Entertainment\u2019s DVD titles for children and families such as\u00a0Chuggington<\/i>,\u00a0Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!<\/i>\u00a0and \u201cThe Dog Who Saved\u2026\u201d feature film series; and much more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to joining Grand Communications, Torello served as Vice President of a SoHo-based public relations agency, where she spearheaded the firm\u2019s TV programming and education PR areas. In this position, she successfully directed and implemented a variety of media campaigns for Scholastic Entertainment\u2019s award-winning slate of television properties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Torello was responsible for publicity for\u00a0Clifford the Big Red Dog<\/i>\u00a0(garnering more than 50 TV book covers at the show\u2019s premiere),\u00a0I Spy<\/i>, Scholastic\u2019s\u00a0The Magic School Bus<\/i>,\u00a0Dear America<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Royal Diaries<\/i>. In addition, she handled television and licensing press for CINAR\u2019s\u00a0Zoboomafoo<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Caillou<\/i>. Additional projects, which Torello supervised, included\u00a0Jane Goodall\u2019s Wild Chimpanzees<\/i>, an IMAX film produced by The Science Museum of Minnesota, and the launch of National Geographic\u2019s school-based nonfiction literacy program.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, Torello spent eight years in the Corporate Communications department at Scholastic Inc., where she publicized Scholastic\u2019s 27 classroom magazines, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and the launch of Scholastic\u2019s\u00a0The Magic School Bus<\/i>; as well as creating media events for the company. Immediately upon leaving Scholastic, Torello served as an Account Director at New York based PR firm from 1998-1999, with clients including Parents magazine, Home Office Computing, the Women\u2019s Consumer Network and React magazine, among many other projects.<\/span><\/p>\n
