Social Media Coordinator
Alexa Marcon, Social Media Coordinator for Grand Communications, helps define the voice and manage the presence of a range of the firm’s clients in the children’s TV/entertainment, licensing and toy space across the most popular social media platforms today. She helps create and cultivate editorial content and strategy for some of the hottest brands for preschoolers and the school-age set, including global sensations Peppa Pig and PJ Masks (Entertainment One), award-winning Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Peg + Cat (The Fred Rogers Company), and space-themed hit Ready Jet Go! (Wind Dancer Films), as well as toy and consumer products companies such as TCG Toys and WeCool.
Marcon works alongside the Grand Communications team to develop dynamic social media marketing initiatives to strengthen brand awareness, grow followers and fans, and drive meaningful engagement for the firm’s clients. Additionally, she assists in coordinating blogger ambassador programs in support of several children’s properties that the firm represents.
Prior to joining Grand Communications, Marcon was a Marketing and Publicity Assistant at New York City-based children’s book publisher, little bee books, a division of Bonnier Publishing USA, where she managed the social media presence for multiple imprints, creating content, driving engagement, and boosting numbers across various platforms.
Previously, she served as an intern and was later brought on full-time as an Editorial Assistant in the academic trade editorial department of Oxford University Press, where she liaised with authors and closely collaborated with the marketing and publicity teams for new book announcements.
Marcon holds a BA in English Secondary Education from CUNY Queens College. She is deeply passionate about sharing stories of all sorts with kids (and kids at heart) in ways that get them excited about sharing their own.
